CALA DOR VILLA

5 BEDROOM SEAVIEW VILLA WITH POOL & INTERNET

Local Area

El Campello and the surrounding towns are areas of great interest. The scenery ranges from open curving beaches and coves to vast mountain ranges. Whether you are looking for a beach holiday in the idyllic tourist areas of El Campello or Playa's Muchavista & San Juan, or a golf holiday on the beautiful golf courses of Bonalba & Alicante or a quiet peaceful holiday visiting the mountain ranges of Muchamiel, Busot & Aigues, you are assured that our villa will be perfect for you.

Local Area

Around El Campello there are vast areas of orange, lemon, almond and olive trees - not to mention the vineyards - that give the area a peaceful, beautiful outlook that is a far cry from the industrialized towns with which you may be more familiar. There is an abundance of fresh fish here too with the small port of El Campello being of prime importance to the fishing industry - and the combination of fresh fish, locally grown outstanding fruit and vegetables, olive oil and local wine (at ridiculously low prices) means that the diet here is truly healthy. Particularly if you indulge in the local cuisine: grilled sardines and tomato salads. You will probably only notice how good everything tastes but your body will thank you for the difference!

Ideal Snorkelling Villajoyosa Cala Dor to Campello

It's hard not to take part in an active lifestyle too. The coastline offers many spectacular snorkelling and diving locations, alongside all other watersports such as sailing, windsurfing, fishing and coastal pleasure boat rides.

There are many well marked paths for walking, whether along coastal promenades, such as that from El Campello to Playa San Juan, or more mountainous pathways along the Sierra de Cabeco D'or which means the Golden Hills. The view from the top of the Sierra de Cabeco is awesome as are the Caves of Canalobre near Busot.

The area is also of cultural and historical importance too with many ruins, forts and museums to visit. The architectural blend of Moorish, Roman and Spanish building styles can be truly heart stopping.

For the golf enthusiast there is no shortage of excellent courses to choose from such as Club de Golf de Bonalba and Alicante Golf at San Juan. In fact there are 15 courses within one hour's drive of the villa.

Alicante Golf Bonalba Golf and Spa

There is just so much to tell you about El Campello. The town itself dates back to the Bronze Age but is probably best known as a typical Spanish fishing village which has been transformed into a beautiful unspoilt Mediterranean coastal resort but still keeps its old character and charm. El Campello is split into two identities with the Pueblo (town) area which is a normal working spanish town with its laid back environment and lifestyle and the Playa (beach) area consisting of a variety of cosmopolitan restaurants, bars and shops set on a beautiful promenade stretching over 3 kilometres to the neighbouring town of San Juan. The Playa area also boasts a beautiful Marina which offers daily fresh fish from the Mediterranean Sea at its mid week Fish auctions (Monday-Friday from 6pm).

El Campello is not just a town - it offers you over 23 kilometers of coastline stretching through the areas to the north such as Poble Espanyol, Coveta Fuma, Cala D'or and Venta Lanuza. To the south of the town centre is the beautiful golden sandy beach and promenade that makes up the popular area of Playa Muchavista. All these areas can be accessed via the new Tram network. It has an excellent beach and promenade with a good selection of restaurants.
